Welcome to EMMETTVILLE

Emmettville Photo

Emmettville is:

(Clockwise from left) Mary Kelly, accordian, vocals; Phil Lyons, bass, vocals; Jay Moran, vocals, guitar; Robert Scoville, drums, percussion.

First performance: 1994

Emmettville was formed from a solo acoustic music project of Jay Moran, also of The O'Bros and has only been together since 1994. In that time, though, the band's slick folk stylings have made a name for it: Emmettville's opened for Los Lobos, the Subdudes, Marshall Crenshaw, Peter Himmelman and Alanis Morisette.

In their words...

''We do all original folk-rock that combines traditional instruments -- guitar, accordian, violin -- to form a 'new folk' ensemble. Emmettville is a place where musical and life experiences meet like the side streets and main roads of any small town.'' Jay Moran.
