Hi, I’m Dr. Clay Elliott and my wife Lili and I raised three daughters in the sheep industry. Not only showing, but raising show lambs that have won on the largest platforms. Our daughters have had success showing lambs across the US and we did it with a meager budget through hard work and great nutrition.

I received my B.S. in Animal Science from Colorado State University while competing at a high level on the livestock judging team. Upon completion, Lili and I moved to Lubbock, TX where I took over the reigns as judging team coach for the Texas Tech Red Raiders for 9 years.

While there, I earned a M.S. in Meat Science and a PhD in Reproductive Physiology. After 21 years of training collegiate livestock judging teams, I moved into industry.

While at Purina, I launched the Sheep and Goat portfolio and was on staff as the PhD technical support. Products for the commercial sheep and goat business, such as the Accuration Hi-Fat block, RESTEZ, Wind and Rain Sheep mineral, along with active involvement in the small ruminant show business.

My family and I ran nearly 700 head of Hampshire, Dorset and Southdown ewes in central OK along with helping show family’s on a daily basis to increase their odds of success. In fact, numerous clients have had made the premium sales in Texas and Oklahoma. Callen Minard of Piedmont, OK won the Tulsa State Fair in 2022 with a lamb that we found and helped him to feed. Bree, our oldest daughter, has had breed champions at NAILE, OYE and the National Western. Kyra, our middle, showed the Champion lamb at the Arizona National as well as multiple breed champions at TSF and OYE. Our youngest, Myka, who is a current senior in high school (2024), has shown the Reserve Grand at OYE, Champion at Mississippi Youth Expo, Grand and Reserve at the Spring American Royal and Breed Champions at the Tulsa State Fair and OYE.

Other customers have also had grand and reserve breed champions from jackpots, County fairs, OYE, and Tulsa.

My experience in small ruminant nutrition, reproduction, muscle biology, and livestock evaluation is at your service.
